Benefits of Earning the Arizona Career Readiness Credential

October 5, 2018

Have you heard about the Arizona Career Readiness Credential (ACRC)? It’s an excellent personal development opportunity for those who are either seeking a job or willing to take the next step in their careers. For employers, it’s the chance to connect with qualified job seekers that stand out from the average job applicant.

What is the Arizona Career Readiness Credential?

The Arizona Career Readiness Credential is the result of a partnership between Governor Ducey, [email protected], and the Office of Economic Opportunity. The credential ensures that job seekers are prepared to meet the demands of Arizona’s fast-growing economy by assessing them in seven skills:

  • Applied mathematics
  • Reading for information
  • Workplace data and graphics
  • Communicating effectively
  • Teamwork and collaboration
  • Professionalism
  • Critical thinking and problem solving

After extensive research, we identified some Arizona labor market concerns. For example, hundreds of employer partners are having difficulties finding highly qualified talent. More specifically, local companies are looking for candidates with a mix of foundational, personal, and technical skills.

If you’re a job seeker, take your career to the next level with the help of our career readiness program! No matter what your professional goals are, these seven skills are necessary in every workplace.
