Although approximately 60% of young adults participated in summer employment opportunities in the 1990s, it has since dropped to 40% according to the Bureau of Labor. This is of particular concern because both youth and their communities benefit dramatically when they are employed throughout the summer season.
That’s why [email protected] is proud to offer summer job opportunities for the young adults of Arizona! Here’s what that entails:
Benefits of Summer Jobs for Youth
Did you know that having a summer job as a teen is beneficial beyond the financial rewards? In fact, there are a few different ways that employment can improve the lives of young adults:
- It teaches them skills like problem-solving and teamwork that will benefit them in their careers.
- Summer jobs help young people learn responsibility and prove their work ethic in preparation for the future.
- Youth employed during the summer are more likely to see improvements in their community engagement and social skills.
